New 7 Wonders of The World
In a report submitted by the New 7 Wonderswebsite (N7W), five places in Asia included in the top 10 into wonderplaces in the world. Ten finalists were the Dead Sea (Jordan, Israel, Palestine), Grand Canyon (United States), Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Halong Bay (Vietnam), Jeita Grotto (Lebanon), Jeju (South Korea), Komodo Island (Indonesia), Puerto Princesa underground river (Philippines), Sundarbans (Bangladesh, India), and Vesuvius(Italy).
Head of Communications for New7Wonders Eamon Fitzgerald said 10 finalists was the result temporary. This composition may change prior to the determination of the seven man made wonders of the world based on polls N7W.
"So, while the top 10 that announce today are subject to change. With millions of votes that will go, finalists are now not included in the ranking of10 while still allowing for the entry in 7 Wonders of the World," Fitzgerald said on Sunday (6 / 11 /2011).
President and founder of New7Wonders, Bernard Weber, said the inclusion of five candidates from the Asian continent show that the world is becoming attractive targets.
